- Vallalar’s Suddha Sanmargam principles are formulated based on “Jeeva Karunya Ozhukkam”, “The Four Vinappams”, “Arutperumjothi Agaval” and “Thiru Arutpa Volumes 1- 6”.
- Anything in the Thiru Arutpa Prose which are consistent with the Suddha Sanmargam principles are accepted as the teachings of Vallalar.
- In case of difference in understanding and opinions, Vallalar’s hand written, most recent doctrines will be referenced.
- The sole and supreme Deity and Guru of Suddha Sanmargam is Arutperumjothi as described and celebrated in Vallalar’s four Vinappams and Arutperumjothi Agaval.

- Recital of the Mahamantra, poems in Thiru Arutpa, Thiru Arutpa Prose, Vinnappams or any other hand written text of Vallalar
- Sathvicharam or inquiry into the truth, including relevant scientific study, of the nature of the self, the human body, the cosmos, and the Supreme Being
- The contemplation and worship of Arutperumjothi, with faith and love, in the form of light; the use of an oil lamp to facilitate this form of worship of Arutperumjothi
- Poor feeding will be performed as the central means to obtain the Grace of Arutperumjothi
- Vallalar Universal Mission will not conduct any other kind rituals and ceremonies
- Vallalar Universal Mission will use the picture or drawing of Vallalar as a symbol to be remembered, but does not recommend it to be worshiped
- Vallalar Universal Mission respects all the Sanmargam Scholars, Practitioners and experts, however will not recommend worshiping any living or dead people nor consider them as the spiritual successors of Vallalar.
